The aim of the paper is to analyse contemporary trends in distributed manufacturing (DM) research and to present a concept to develop and test some task allocation, planning and scheduling algorithms for DM network organisations. Some concepts to identify key factor criteria and reasoning policies and rules for production/manufacturing decision support system are also undertaken. And finally, an aim is to draw a proposal for a development of a prototype decision support system with necessary communication and knowledge oriented modules to be implemented in an example of dynamic, DM and logistics network structure, particularly for very popular dynamic cluster forms in Poland. The developed concept of the organization of a multi-entity DM network will enable business-effective use of the system, supporting manufacturing decision making, consulting and offering information services in the control centre (the so-called Competence Centre) by constructing virtual reality and access to services in a distributed network of cloud computing type. Integration of the whole system into one information system will enable analysis and network resource optimization of manufacturing and logistics processes, new analytical functions, reduction of delays in the manufacturing system, management of changes and risks, and visualization of the current state of the DM system

Demographic and economic aspects of the pension system in Poland — a dynamic modelling approach

Demographic and economic aspects of the pension system in Poland —a dynamic modelling approachThe paper considers a hypothesis that some dynamic features of the Polish national and public pension system follow typical mental, generic and archetypal models, as a result of many demographic, macroeconomic, political and also global factors, particularly closed-loop feedback relations with delays and amplifi cations. There are some important messages in the paper for social insurance policies design, structures and management, the meaning of data mining and collection, and for model refi nement with modelling approaches in a systems’ thinking way. The shortcomings of national social insurance systems in dealing more eff ectively with upstream social insurance risk prevention in the population are systemic and include also a postulate to empower members of the population in order to involve them in their own, entrepreneurial downstream care. The paper contains a system dynamics SD point of view, as a method of macroscopic, continuous simulation modelling, to surface and explain some cycles and discrepancies between demography, policies, as well as the system’s aspects of the national pension system. The conceptual, formal and simulation model presented in the paper, followed by some experiments’ results, applies the SD method approach with causal loop diagrams CLD and stock-and-fl ow diagrams SFD, displaying delays, amplifi cations and structure cycle dynamics in the national pension system. Further research should concentrate on the detailed analysis of additional modelling requirements in order to conduct more profound multi-factor experiments to forecast and evaluate contemporary national politics, and to test some new concepts in social insurance. W artykule przedstawiono projekt i wstępną realizację modelu symulacyjnego oraz założenia badań dynamiki systemu sprzedaży w zakładzie ubezpieczeń gospodarczych. Wskazano na własności dynamiczne systemu wynikające z występujących sprzężeń zwrotnych i opóźnień. Podstawowa struktura systemu składa się z dwóch pętli sprzężeń zwrotnych: „skuteczność i produktywność sprzedaży − wynagrodzenie – motywacja – produktywność sprzedaży” oraz „skuteczność i produktywność sprzedaży – wyna-grodzenie – rezygnacja pracowników sprzedaży – kwalifikacje zawodowe sprzedawców − skuteczność i produktywność sprzedaży”. Rozważono reguły decyzyjne prowadzące do zrównoważonego wzrostu sprzedaży ubezpieczeń. In the paper a concept and an early-stage simulation model with some assumptions for simulation investigation of the sales system in insurance company is described. Dynamic behaviours of the sales system, caused by system structure, particularly feedbacks, are especially pointed. Some proposals of organisation structures leading to sustainable increase of insurance sales are also suggested. The paper analyses disadvantages and weaknesses of insurance sale system and management of insurance distribution network considering some practical data and market processes in cooperation between insurance company and its insurance intermediaries. The paper constitutes an original proposal of simulation model and a research program of sales system management in an insurance company
